Definition |
One of a group of eosiniphilia lung disease of a hypersensitivity king, caused by mostly filarial infection characterized by peripheral eosinophilia and usually respiratory manifestations. |

Prognosis |
Good in the great majority with appropritate therapy. A small number progress to chronic disabling fibrosis with respiratory failure. |

General Measures |

Inadequate Response |
Consider longer course of DEC, and addition of prednisolone. |
|
|
Prevention |
Avoidance of areas endemic for filariasis and protection from mosquito bites |
